BMX workshop

The BMX workshops are structured to ensure that they can accommodate basic riders all the way up to people who have developed some skill and want to learn how to get to the next level. The workshops can be "flat land" workshops or ramp workshops, depending on what you would like us to do for you.

There will also be demonstrations by one of the UK’s number one riders, showing a wide range of tricks. We can also provide a few extra BMX bikes so the kids can all have a go. This is best done in smaller groups so each student can have a go. Really young attendees can be accommodated, as the bike can be held for them.

The BMX workshop leaders

Once again we have to tell you (and you must know this by now) that we only use the best of the best for any of our workshops and this one is no different. If any of the group knows anything about the BMX world then they will probably have heard of the tutor that attends your day to teach for you. The tutor can perform the trick and demonstrate how good you can be if you put in the time and have the right instruction!

Scheme of work

Principal purpose:

  • To raise the skill level of all participants regardless of their starting level
  • To demonstrate the importance of doing tricks safely!

  • Watching amazing BMX tricks and skills
  • Learning amazing BMX tricks and skills
  • Developing new skills and physical abilities

Evidence of participation

Many youth schemes require evidence of learners' participation and achievements in wider learning projects to contribute to the young person's file or CV. Top Dog can support this by providing a Top Dog Certificate of Achievement.
